  i'm not naming names, but i just want to encourage people on here or on reddit or twitter, and tell you that you do not have to tolerate people who act like schoolyard bullies in the way they speak to you online.

  i think anonymity is a big part of it.

  they feel like there is zero accountability so they can be a bully all they want.. i recommend just ignoring or blocking anyone who is verbally abusive or treats you like schoolyard bullies treated you.. life is way too short to spend any time dealing with those kinds of people..

  Edit to add: You can learn from this and try and avoid similar traits next time. Also you may want to analyse your view of porn and why you feel the way you do about it so you can understand yourself better.

  This site's users have matured over the years and so the site has shifted into one that has an increasingly hard lean towards truth, evidence and a low tolerance of bullshit.

  Some dont like it that way because their pink fluffy warm and fuzzy fantasies get torn to shreds, unless they can be backed up with good solid evidence. I like it that way. The truth is the truth where ever you find it. Sure, some get a bit carried away in that quest but an honest seeker of truth will work past any offence caused and feel the refreshing effect logic has on the brain.

  So then, are you open minded or just pretending to be?

  so this weekend there was a part about not following jesus at a distance.

  the speaker made a big point of stating that any baptized jw male who was not either appointed ms/elder, or at the very least "reaching out" actively, was in fact following jesus at a distance.

  he said that the only way to live through the big a was to follow jesus closely.

  being in a good mood that particular day, i told them that if they could prove that god existed, i'd become a jovie - and i meant every word.. they gave me two documents which they asked me read and told me that they'd be back in a week.

  you seem to think (and correct me if im wrong) that if a Jesus teacher existed - therefore God.

  Otherwise why are you so hung up on whether jesus existed or not?

  It doesnt matter whether he did exist or was made up as it does absolutely nothing to help the god argument along. Yet another messiah among the many of the time shows what exactly? The continued gullibility of the populace to swallow bullshit.

  Paul was a nut job cult starter, any reasonably unclouded reading of the works attributed to him will show that.

  Bible Chronology, Egyptology and the Great Flood

  fact: bible chronology says the flood occurred between 2348 and 2370 bce, depending on which scholar you listen to.

  fact: the great pyramid of giza was constructed 200 years before, in c. 2560 bce..

  so, if you believe in a literal interpretation of noah's flood, you believe that the egyptians built a great civilization, were destroyed by the flood in 2370 bce, and then somehow, they reappeared immediately after the flood, picked right back up where they left off without skipping a cultural beat.. oh, and isn't it ironic that legitimately studying the great pyramid of giza debunks jw mythology now?

  It doesnt much matter if jesus, Paul, peter, mary, simon, Steve, Gary, Nelly, dave or Bob existed or not....

  the jesus of the bible is still made up and a myth. there is no ransom, there is no "hope" there is no prophecy, no end times, no future petting pandas in paradise, no eternity in a heaven. get over it.
